SHOW ORGANIZERS

Susan DiMarco is a trustee on the board of the Montclair Art Museum and the Mental Association of Essex County, NJ.  Susan's primary work in the non-profit sector involves fundraising and event planning.   As a local fundraiser, she is well connected to community leaders, business professionals, and public servants. Art in the Park for the last three years, under Susan’s leadership, has returned to its original mission of a juried fine arts and craft show, as she witnessed the great community interest in this venerable event. Once upon a time, Susan was in private practice as a family dentist.

Meg Siesfeld has joined forces with Susan DiMarco as co-chair of Art in the Park. Meg has over 20 years of professional experience in magazine publishing. She began on the print side and, as early as 1995, began putting magazines like Time, People, InStyle and Real Simple onto the World Wide Web. Her skills are as a manager running large-scale projects from strategic conception through implementation. Currently Meg is working on the digital strategy for Hallmarkmagazine.com, the online version of a recently launched woman's magazine. Meg's mother was a fine artist, her father an amateur photographer and her husband graduated from NYU with a degree in filmmaking. Her children show the early promise of budding artists.

Johan Westenburg started his career as the art handler for the Clara Sujo. A chance phone call secured an interview at the fabled Pace Gallery where he moved from front desk to personal assistant to Arne Glimcher. Along the way, he co-curated the New York Now show in Seoul, Korea with Village Voice critic Kim Levin and gallerist Souyun Yi in 1988, the first Joseph Cornell exhibit at the Tel Aviv Museum and gained experience installing the works of masters like Richard Serra, Jean Dubuffet and Julian Schnabel. In 1991, Mr. Westenburg joined with Ikkan Sanada and Stefan Stux in the Stux Modern venture and quickly moved on to form his own gallery in Great Barrington, Massachussetts

Notable shows included "The Alphabet of Trees", an examination of contemporary graffiti and a group show of Steiner School artists. Solo shows included the work of Beck Balken, John Clement, Naomi Sultanik, Yvonne van Eijden, Warner Friedman, Melissa Kretschmer, and Ruth Fields among others.

In 1996, Johan met the clothing designer Machteld Schrameyer and they set off on a journey that took them to the high plains of Marfa, Texas. Along the way back, they fell in love with the rolling bluegrass of the state of Kentucky and settled there in 2001

Currently, the couple spend their time working, traveling and indulging their weakness for old homes in America and Europe.
