Co-op’s Girls Learn International Chapter Educates through a Bake Sale

The Co-op's chapter of Girls Learn International, one of the very few middle school chapters in existence, is now in its 4th year. Girls Learn is an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about the lack of girls' education in parts of the world and to fundraising to help provide as many opportunities for them as possible. The Co-op group, open to students in grades 6-8 and this year led by 8th grader Alara Kilic, held a bake sale on Thursday and Friday to celebrate the International Day of the Girl. 2nd – 8th Grades Open Chess Tournament – June 14

The Montclair Cooperative School will host an open chess tournament on Sunday, June 14th. The unrated tournament will be directed by Mike Somers and Steve Moctezuma. CoBots Make Us Proud At States

The CoBots robotics team were one of 60 teams that competed in the State championship last Saturday, where they were awarded first place for "Gracious Professionalism". We proudly add this award to the first place honors earned previously by our robotics team that include the "The Core Values Award" that the team earned at the Clifton Tournament a few weeks ago and the "Presentation Award" earned at last year's competition.
