Co-op families are collecting donations of clothing for the victims of a terrible house fire that broke out on Thursday, November 15, on the corner of Walnut and Valley Roads. The home was occupied by 10 tenants, including an 8-year-old boy. No-one was hurt but the fire consumed the entire home, and all the occupants' personal belongings were destroyed. Containers have been set up at the school to collect donations of: Socks, underwear, t-shirts in sizes Men's L and XL, Women's small, and children's clothes for the 8-year-old boy. Every year Co-op students and their families collect Thanksgiving food to donate to the St. Peter's Haven Community Pantry in Clifton. Then the 6th grade, under the guidance of their teacher, Meredith, deliver the dozens and dozens of items .

On Monday, August 21st New Jersey will see a Partial Eclipse of the Sun! You are all invited to the Co-op that day between 1pm and 3pm to observe the eclipse, discover some fascinating facts with science teacher Nancy, and enjoy fun eclipse activities. We will begin gathering at 1:00 pm. The eclipse starts at 1:22 pm. It will be at its Midway point when maximum coverage is reached at 2:45 pm. In case of clouds, we will be live streaming the event.
