Montclair Cooperative School’s NJAIE (Artists In Education Residency Grant Program)* projects are off to a great start!
Here are our third and fourth grade students are creating beautiful large puppets with visiting artist Zachary Green. They will use these puppets to perform plays written in conjunction with another visiting artist and storyteller, Eloise Bruce. Their plays will weave in information and facts they have discovered in their science curriculum. Third Grade science is studying the moon and our solar system and fourth grade is studying the New Jersey Meadowlands ecosystem.
Performances will be on January 31st. Stay tuned for more information about the rest of our NJAIE projects!
* The Artist in Residence program is funded by the Artists in Education Residence Grant Program, a co-sponsored project of Young Audiences New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania & the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, with generous support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
