Allison has 15 years of teaching experience spanning PreK-12 classrooms and higher education. She began her career teaching dance, where she wrote the K-12 dance curriculum for Teaneck Public Schools, and has since expanded her focus to core subjects after completing her MA in Education in 2017. Allison has presented at the state and national levels on topics including Social Emotional Learning, Project-Based Learning, Building Community, Cross-Curricular Integration, and Cultivating Creativity. In her teaching, she prioritizes creating an enriched classroom where students feel cared for and empowered to explore, take risks, and learn from one another as she guides them through their educational journey. Passionate about lifelong learning, particularly in ancient civilizations, she speaks fluent Italian and enjoys gardening, exploring nature, and immersing herself in books. She lives in Bloomfield with her husband and their 4-year-old son, Leon, named after King Leonidas of Sparta.
