At the Montclair Cooperative School a true sense of community permeates all aspects of school life. Students of all grade levels feel that they are part of a school community that extends beyond their own classroom. We take seriously the idea that parents are partners in their children’s education. This partnership between parents, children and teachers is one of the cornerstones of Co-op life. Our alumni and alumni families remain connected to the Co-op giving back to the community they thrived in. Together, we respect and nurture our community, as we support our children in reaching their full potential.

Co-op students enjoy an education that encourages academic excellence, independent and diverse thinking, imaginative and innovative ideas, and active social responsibility. When our students graduate from 8th grade they are socially responsive and responsible young people well-prepared to face the challenges ahead.
The chief way of supporting the Co-op, especially in this time of Covid when fundraising events are not possible, is by making a tax deductible donation to the Co-op Fund. The Co-op fund helps us meet the needs of our current students and plan for the future of our school.

Though we are a tuition-based school, we rely on the support of our community to enable us to provide an outstanding education to as many students as possible. Donors play a key role in our school’s ecosystem, supporting a variety of innovative programming and educational supports:

- Exciting extracurricular offerings
- State-of-the-art tools and technology for our classrooms
Your donations also provide for upgrades to our physical infrastructure as well as professional development opportunities for our faculty and staff. As lifelong learners, we never stop searching for new knowledge and educational approaches that we can share with our students.
