The soul is healed by being with children.
I started my journey at the Montclair Cooperative school in 2014 in the afterschool program which gave me the opportunity to get to meet some great children. I enjoyed doing the afterschool program so much that I wanted to learn more about the school and I got my opportunity when I decided to do my internship at the Co-op working in Early Ages and Kindergarten . The more I learned about the school the more I wanted to really be a part of it. After getting my bachelors, I immediately started subbing and even got to be the interim receptionist for a bit. I’m so glad I was able to be in so many places because it allowed me to meet all the kids, staff, and even many of the parents which I find has been really helpful in allowing me to grow at the school. Now I am officially a part of the Co-op as the third / fourth grade assistant teacher. I love working with this age group. It’s amazing to be able to play a role in their lives, little do they know the huge role they play in mine. Working with children has always been what I’ve wanted to do with my life and I am forever grateful for the opportunities and learning experiences the Co-op has granted me.
