An educator for over 25 years, Carmela always imagined a school like the Montclair Co-op. She had hoped one existed out there and is thrilled to now be part of our community. Carmela completed her undergraduate at Boston University and her masters at Lesley University. She is certified in both Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Creative Arts and Learning. Carmela has taught in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. This has given her the opportunity to teach many grades throughout her career. Carmela is passionate about building the whole child and nurturing a learner that is eager and ready to take on new challenges.
