Early Ages Assistant Teacher

I received my BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College with a double major in Psychology. Prior to starting my family and moving to Montclair, I traveled the world performing with Norwegian Cruise Lines as well as at regional theaters around the country. I have enjoyed working with children for over 20 years. I was a faculty member with Ballet Academy East’s Young Dancer Division and taught children’s classes locally at Sharron Miller’s Academy of the Performing Arts.

Most recently, I developed the Little Movers Program for the Community Movement Project in Montclair, NJ. Through these programs I have taught creative movement, tap, theater dance, and ballet to children ages 2-7. I am currently the choreographer for the Wallkill Valley Regional High School Performing Arts Department in Hamburg, NJ, a position I have held for the past 12 years.

Outside of work, I am passionate about cooking, supporting small businesses, party planning, and being a mom.

I am beyond excited to be a part of this very special school and this amazing team of teachers. I have a passion for progressive education and project-based learning, and I am looking forward to growing with my students. Early childhood is so magical, and I am honored to be a part of your child’s journey.
