“You can make a living, or you can design your life.”
I have had the benefit of a rich and diverse professional life which has deepened my experience, broadened my perspectives and enabled me to change and grow. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and studied at New York University. I was convinced that I was part concrete and would never leave New York City.
Life had other plans. I began my professional career with IBM in Memphis, Tennessee where I worked for ten years holding positions in first and second line management, then relocated back to New York City to assume a position at 2 Penn Plaza as a location administration manager and finally took a newly formed senior staff budget analyst position at 590 Madison Ave in New York. I have worked in small and mid sized CPA firms as a senior staff accountant in New York and New Jersey. I found myself gravitating towards non-profit accounting and related tax return work.
I was finally able to find my way to the Montclair Cooperative School in 2006 to take the position as Business Manager. In July, I accepted the position as Co-Head of School.
