Music Teacher (Early Ages - 2rd Grade) & Upper School Assistant Teacher

As a child, I discovered that my greatest passion was music and I’ve since graduated from New Jersey City University with a degree in Music Business with a concentration in Classical and Popular music. As an assistant teacher at the Co-op, I find that my greatest passion is awakening the abilities we all have that sometimes we choose to hold inside.

My first job in education was as a paraprofessional working with children with special needs. There I realized the possibilities that I had within myself to uplift the life of a child through teaching. While working as an assistant teacher at the Co-op, I’ve gained an even greater passion for working with children, learning from the teachers around me. Kindergarten with Hilary has been a joyful experience.

I continue to follow my passion and perform as a vocalist throughout the tristate-area. I’m an R&B vocalist, a singer/leader at church, and a performer and vocal director of a new musical titled Something Like a Fairytale & Red, which was featured in the New York Theatre Thespis Festival in 2018 and National Black Theatre Festival in 2017 in North Carolina. Teaching continues to be a passion of mine and the Co-op allows me to demonstrate those abilities while sharing my love of music.
