As a parent of two current students and one recent graduate, I appreciate the
nurturing environment the Co-op provides and care about the mission of the school.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve watched my children grow and thrive here, and I’m
eager to give back to the community that’s given us so much. I’ve been involved
with the school in different ways, from serving on the COVID action committee to
coaching the Cobots, and these experiences have given me a deep understanding
of our community’s needs.
In my day job as the Director of the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, one of
the largest centers in the US, I have honed my skills in organizational leadership,
strategic planning, and budgeting I also have experience in non-profit leadership, I
am currently the Executive Vice President of the Epilepsy Study Consortium, an
organization that supports the development of new treatments for epilepsy, and
have previously served on the executive committee of the professional advisory
board of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, the largest advocacy group for
people with epilepsy. These roles have given me a deep understanding of the
dynamics of non-profit organizations and the importance of mission-driven
planning and effective resource allocation. I am eager to bring the skills I have
learned in my professional life to the Co-op board to further support our community.
