Eric is an emergency physician and the founder and Vice President of the Center for Global Health at Northwell Health, where he leads work to strengthen emergency and health systems in the U.S. and abroad, from Guyana to Ukraine. He is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and still works clinical shifts in the emergency department. Eric earned his MD from the University of Pennsylvania, his MPH from Columbia, and his MBA from Hofstra. In 2025 he was named the Schwab Foundation’s Corporate Social Innovator of the Year.
Eric is drawn to the Co-op’s belief that children learn best in a diverse community built on partnership, values he sees at the heart of good health systems too. He lives in Montclair with his wife and their two children, both Co-op students. Outside of work, he manages travel soccer teams for both kids and spends as much time as he can sailing.
